ICYMI: Must-See Video—Stadium Series GOALIE FIGHT

Is this becoming the Season of the Goalie Fight? Just two weeks after Alex Nedeljkovic and Sergei Bobrovsky went at, we had another duke-it-out session with goalies on center stage. And what a stage it was, in the Stadium Series game between the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning. Watch Jeremy Swayman and Andrei Vasilevskiy go at it: 

Vasilevskiy received a five minute fighting major for the scrap, which saw him take down Swayman after a number of blows were traded. Players on both teams certainly seemed to enjoy the proceedings. 

The take-down apparently inspired the Bolts, who came all the way back from a 5-2 deficit at the time of the brawl midway through the second period, to beat the Bruins 6-5. 

No one can turn away from a goalie fight. Even the netminders themselves. As Philipp Grubauer of the Seattle Kraken recently told Sports Illustrated: 

“I mean the fight, when was the last time you saw a goalie fight? That was pretty awesome to see. Would be nice if we could get those a little bit more often. I think it's a little bit more exciting for the game," Grubauer said.

After Sunday's fracas, Vasilevskiy and Swayman even had themselves a smile.
