NHL Rumors: 3 Winnipeg Jets Offseason Trade Candidates
The Winnipeg Jets have had a disappointing 2025-26 season. After winning the Presidents' Trophy last season, the Jets currently have a 29-29-12 record and are five points behind the Nashville Predators for the final wild card spot in the Western Conference.
Given how this season has gone for the Jets, it is likely that they will make changes to their roster this summer. Because of this, let's look at three Jets who could be traded during the offseason.
Cole Perfetti
Perfetti's name has come up in the rumor mill in the past. The 24-year-old forward could benefit from a change of scenery, and it is fair to wonder if the Jets could listen to offers for him this summer due to his pending RFA status. If the Jets make him available, multiple teams would likely pursue the former first-round pick.
Brad Lambert
The Jets gave Lambert permission to seek a trade earlier this season, so there is no question that he is a trade candidate to watch this summer. The 2022 first-round pick has the potential to be a popular target, too, as he is still young and has good upside. Due to this, the Jets could use him as a trade chip to land a player who would make them better immediately.
Nino Niederreiter
If the Jets want to retool their roster a bit this summer, Niederreiter stands out as a player who they could consider moving. The 33-year-old winger will be entering the final season of his contract in 2026-27 and could generate interest from contenders looking to boost their bottom six.
