3 Potential Trade Destinations for Kraken's Jared McCann

Jared McCann, Seattle Kraken

After losing each of their last five games and nine out of their last 10 contests, the Seattle Kraken's playoff hopes are essentially crushed. With how poorly they are finishing off the season, it would not be surprising if they make multiple changes to their roster this offseason.

One player on the Kraken who should be watched as a trade candidate is forward Jared McCann. The 29-year-old forward has been in the rumor mill before and will be entering the final year of his deal in 2026-26. Due to this, let's look at three teams that could try to land McCann this offseason.

New Jersey Devils

The Devils undoubtedly need to add another top-six forward this offseason. Their secondary offensive production has not been good enough, and bringing in a player like McCann could help things on that front. He could slot nicely on their top line with Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt.

Boston Bruins

It is no secret that the Bruins should be looking to add to their forward group this offseason. With McCann being able to play both center and the wing, he would be a great pickup for the Bruins' top six if acquired. Whether he played on their first line or second line, McCann would give the Bruins' roster a nice boost if brought in.

Minnesota Wild

The Wild could be a team to keep an eye on when it comes to McCann. The Wild should be on the hunt for another top-six forward this summer, and with McCann being able to play center, he could grab their attention. He would also give Minnesota another strong weapon to work with on their power play.
