Devils Rumors: 3 Offseason Trade Destinations for Dougie Hamilton

New Jersey Devils defenseman Dougie Hamilton will undoubtedly be a trade candidate to watch this offseason. It is no secret that Hamilton wants a change of scenery, while the Devils have tried to move him.

Because of this, let's look at three teams that could look to acquire Hamilton during the offseason.

San Jose Sharks

The Sharks tried to acquire Hamilton last offseason, but the right-shot defenseman blocked a trade to San Jose. However, with the Sharks taking such a notable step forward this campaign, perhaps the veteran defenseman could be open to going there now. The Sharks are also entering the summer with several pending UFA defensemen, so it would make sense if they kicked tires on Hamilton again.

Ottawa Senators

One of the Senators' biggest objectives this offseason should be to add an impactful right-shot defenseman. Hamilton is just that when he is playing at his best, and he would have the potential to be a nice addition to the Senators' top four because of it.

Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks are entering the summer with right-shot defensemen John Carlson, Jacob Trouba, and Radko Gudas all being pending UFAs. If they lose multiple members of this trio, they could be a team to keep an eye on when it comes to Hamilton.
