NHL Rumors: 3 Free-Agent Destinations for Penguins' Anthony Mantha

Anthony Mantha, Pittsburgh Penguins

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Anthony Mantha had a career year this campaign, as he set new career highs with 33 goals, 31 assists, and 64 points in 81 games. With numbers like these, the Penguins should be working hard to keep him around. Yet, it would also be understandable if the 31-year-old winger decided to test the free-agent market while his value is at its highest.

Due to this, let's look at three teams that could sign Mantha in free agency this summer if he does not sign an extension with Pittsburgh.

Los Angeles Kings

The Kings should be on the hunt for a scoring winger this offseason, and a player like Mantha could grab their attention because of it. If they successfully signed him, he could slot very nicely in their top six and on their power play. When looking at their current roster, Mantha could work well on a line with Quinton Byfield and Alex Laferriere.

New Jersey Devils

The Devils would be another team to watch if Mantha becomes a free agent this summer. They desperately need to add another top-six winger, and Mantha is one of the best pending UFAs this year. Therefore, he would be a strong fit on the Devils' roster and could work well on a line with Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt.

Boston Bruins

The Bruins could be another team to keep an eye on when it comes to Mantha this offseason. They would be wise to add another top-six winger to their roster, and this would be even more of the case if Viktor Arvidsson decides to test the market this offseason. If they signed Mantha, he would give them another solid option for their second line and power play.
