NHL Rumors: 3 Offseason Trade Destinations for Blues' Jordan Binnington

St. Louis Blues, Jordan Binnington

St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington will be one of the NHL's top trade candidates to watch during the offseason. The 32-year-old goaltender has been the subject of trade rumors for multiple seasons now, and that carried over to this year's deadline.

Because of this, let's look at three teams that could look to acquire Binnington during the summer.

Edmonton Oilers

Tristan Jarry's struggles since being acquired by the Oilers could very well lead to Edmonton looking to make another goalie trade this summer. If they do look to add a new goalie, Binnington would stand out as a prime potential option. The Oilers have been connected to him in the past, and he would have the potential to give them an upgrade between the pipes if he bounced back in Edmonton.

Carolina Hurricanes

The Hurricanes were connected to Binnington leading up to the deadline, and it would not necessarily be surprising if they kicked tires on him again this summer. The Hurricanes' goaltender could use a boost, and Binnington could thrive on a top contender like Carolina. He has also shown during his career that he steps up in big moments, which could interest the Canes.

Vegas Golden Knights

The Golden Knights are never afraid to make a bold move, so they could be a team to watch when it comes to Binnington this summer. The Golden Knights' goaltending has been shaky all season, so it would make sense if they look to bring in an upgrade between the pipes this summer. Binnington would have the potential to give them just that.
