NHL Rumors: 3 Trade Destinations for Canucks' Nils Hoglander

Nils Hoglander, Vancouver Canucks

After a horrible 2025-26 season, the Vancouver Canucks should continue to make changes to their roster during the summer. Nils Hoglander could be a trade candidate to watch from the Canucks, as he has come up in the rumor mill before and could use a change of scenery.

Because of this, let's look at three teams that could target Hoglander during the offseason.

Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins have made it clear that they are not afraid to take chances on young players who need fresh starts. Due to this, it would not be particularly surprising if they brought in Hoglander. If he bounced back in Pittsburgh and found his previous 24-goal form, he would be a nice pickup for the Penguins' top nine.

Toronto Maple Leafs

The Maple Leafs could be a team to keep an eye on when it comes to Hoglander. They should be looking for more forward help this offseason, and with the Maple Leafs retooling, there would not be much risk in them taking a shot on a 25-year-old forward with past success like Hoglander.

Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks undoubtedly need help at forward, and this is especially the case on the wing. Because of this, they also would make sense as a suitor for Hoglander. The Canucks forward could be a nice fit on a young Blackhawks team that will be looking to be better in 2026-27.
