Report: Senators & Blues Discussed Colton Parayko Trade
Colton Parayko didn't want to join the Buffalo Sabres, what about the Ottawa Senators.
Reports have surfaced that both teams have been in contact to discuss the parameters of a Parayko trade, but as we know, his no-trade protection could be a big hurdle. Parayko, 32, is signed through the 2030 season at $6.5 million AAV, and holds a no-trade clause that doesn't go down to just 15 teams for two more summers.

The Senators own their first-round pick at next month's draft, but at this time, it's unclear if Parayko is even considering other teams. There's also the fact that the Senators could be dealing with bigger problems, as there's been lots of speculation about Brady Tkachuk's future in Ottawa.
As for the Blues, they have three first-round picks and are reportedly very open to moving any of them. There's also trade talks centered around Jordan Kyrou and Robert Thomas which haven't slowed down at all this summer. Lastly, there's goaltender Jordan Binnington, who is very likely being moved this summer to give the reigns to Joel Hofer. Binnington's been linked to the Edmonton Oilers and Philadelphia Flyers.
