NHL Rumors: 3 Free-Agent Destinations for Stars' Michael Bunting
The Dallas Stars' playoff run is over, and they have some decisions to make when it comes to their roster. They are entering the summer with multiple pending unrestricted free agents (UFAs), and Michael Bunting is among them.
If Bunting ends up hitting the free-agent market instead of re-signing with the Stars, he should generate a good amount of interest. Due to this, let's look at three teams that could look to sign Bunting this summer.
New York Islanders
The Islanders could be a team to keep an eye on if Bunting tests free agency this offseason. When looking at their roster, it is fair to argue that they could use another skilled forward with bite like Bunting. If the Islanders signed him, he could slot nicely in their top nine and on their power play.
Utah Mammoth
The Mammoth should be looking to boost their forward group this offseason. Due to this, it would not be too surprising if they brought in a player like Bunting for the middle of their lineup. He would have the potential to be a solid pickup for them as they continue to try to head in the right direction next season.
Toronto Maple Leafs
Could the Maple Leafs try to reunite with Bunting? It is no secret that the Maple Leafs need to improve their forward group this offseason and need more depth offensive production. Due to this, it could make sense for Toronto to bring Bunting back. This is especially so when noting that he had a solid tenure there.
