4 Potential Trade Destinations for Flyers' Owen Tippett

The Philadelphia Flyers have put Owen Tippett on the trade market.

Tippett, 27, is signed through the 2032 season at $6.2 million AAV, and with the arrival of Porter Martone, Tippett's been pushed down the depth chart, and the Flyers could be looking to cash in on his strong season. The 27-year-old winger scored 28 goals and 51 points in 81 games last season, and owns a 10-team no-trade clause, so he'll have some say in the matter.

Daily Faceoff's Matt Larkin recently had Tippett on his summer trade board and had this to say:

With Porter Martone and Tyson Foerster emerging as go-to wingers, might the Flyers be willing to deal Tippett for help at another position? The interest would be sky-high. He’s a crash-and-bang power forward, yet his max skating speed places him in the league’s 84th percentile. He’s a unique enough player to attract an overpay.

As far as potential trade destinations go, keep an eye on these four teams - Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, San Jose Sharks, and Chicago Blackhawks. There's also the Anaheim Ducks, who the Flyers have done business with recently, and could offer up Mason McTavish in the deal.

David Pagnotta: We know that Philly wants to shore themselves up the middle and they're looking to fix their blueline, so I would imagine they're gonna try to use Owen Tippett or another asset like him to fill one of those voids - Oilersnation Everyday (6/2)

The Oilers are seen as a favorite, but word is they don't have interest in taking on Darnell Nurse, who just asked out of Edmonton. The Sharks and Blackhawks have a boat load of NHL-ready prospects to offer, and could also add in draft picks, as they look to deepen their top six around their young stars.

Tippett could be on the move this summer, and don't be surprised to see either the Oilers, Sharks, Ducks, Blackhawks or Maple Leafs win the sweepstakes.
