The Boston Bruins have finally made an offseason move, as the team has acquired Utah Mammoth winger J.J Peterka. Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman was first to report the news.
The deal sees the Bruins send the 23rd overall pick in tonight's draft, along with a conditional 2028 first-round pick via the Florida Panthers.
Peterka, 24, is signed for four more years at $7.7 million AAV, and doesn't own any trade protection until the 2029-30 season. The German winger dressed in all 82 games last season, scoring 25 goals and 47 points, playing 15:59 per night. He just signed his huge ticket with the Mammoth last June, so this is certainly an interesting development out of Utah.

The Bruins entered the day with $15 million in cap space, so can fit in the deal easily, and still have some wiggle room when it comes to free agency. They've been linked to a few left wingers, including former Bruin Jake DeBrusk, so it was just a matter of time before they pulled the trigger.
