The Edmonton Oilers have locked in their last restricted free agent, signing rugged forward Colton Dach to a two-year deal.

The extension comes with a $1.2 million AAV for the bottom-six physical forward. It's a nice deal for the Oilers, as his qualifying offer came in at $1.32M. He'll be a restricted free agent once again when the contract expires in 2028.

Dach, 23, the brother of Montreal Canadiens' forward Kirby Dach, was a second-round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2021 NHL Draft, and was ranked 10th on their prospects list last summer. The Oilers acquired him at the trade deadline along with Jason Dickinson.

The 6'4", 218-pound power forward notched four points in eight games with Edmonton, while adding 30 hits, bringing his season total to 219, placing him 15th in the NHL in that department. He did miss a dozen games with the Oilers with a lower-body injury.

With the signing, the Oil now have just $4.7 million in cap space remaining, per PuckPedia.
