Report: Claude Giroux Makes His Free Agent Decision

If the report is correct, Philadelphia Flyers GM Danny Briere has been a very busy man on Friday afternoon. At the same time as submitting an insane offer sheet to Leo Carlsson of the Anaheim Ducks, he has also signed sought-after free agent, and former Flyers captain, Claude Giroux, according to insider David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period.
Giroux, 38, spent 10 years as captain of the Orange and Black in his 15 seasons there after they made him a first-round pick (22nd overall) in 2006. He played exactly 1,000 games with the team and racked up exactly 900 points. Only Bobby Clarke had more points and games with the Flyers.
