According to @DhaliwalSports, the Vancouver #Canucks have shown interest to the #SeaKraken about Shane Wright, but the ask in return from GM Jason Botterill was too high.

They've gotta look at guys like Shane Wright. The Canucks do like Shane Wright, they've approached Seattle about him. But the ask was very high. You know Seattle wants either one of their two young defensemen, Zeev Buium or Tom Willander.
Buium is a playmaking, top-pairing d-man, who is the Canucks' future No. 1 blueliner. He was acquired from the Minnesota Wild as the key piece in the infamous Quinn Hughes trade. Willander was the 11th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
To be sure, the Canucks would like to find another young center with promise as they embark on their full-out rebuild. Once upon a time, they had a pretty good one, a young center who posted 102 points in a breakout season just three years ago. But we all know (or really, don't know) what's happened to Elias Pettersson since then.
They did acquire center Marco Rossi from the Wild along with Buium in that Hughes trade, but if the Canucks are somehow able to move on from Pettersson this summer, they'll need some more help down the middle.
But the price tag of one of their top-four blueliners for the future is just too high.
We've taken a look at five other destinations that are fits for Wright.
