Sure sounds like the Ottawa Senators turned on their captain months ago.

Multiple reports have surfaced stating there was several Ottawa Senators players who had concerns over Brady Tkachuk doing a podcast with his brother, Matthew, a forward of the Florida Panthers.

Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman commented on the 'podcast saga' on a recent episode of 32 Thoughts and opened up about what's been going on within the Senators' dressing room.

“It was time,” Friedman said of the trade on the podcast. “It was time to end the noise around the whole situation… Post-Olympics, it was time. A lot was going on, and the players were tired of it… I did have someone who reached out to me, one of the players, and said the only thing he felt that we should have added was the podcast. And he said the podcast caused some problems, and it was just time.”

There were multiple incidents or conversations from the podcast that have turned some heads in recent weeks, including an episode that the Tkachuk brothers had their dad, Keith on for, which was a direct shot at Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark, and his performance last season.

Brady Tkachuk ended up asking for a trade out of Ottawa after last season concluded, which then led to his trade to join his brother in Florida. The Senators wound up with William Eklund from the San Jose Sharks, after they flipped the No.9 pick at the recent draft from Buffalo.
