St. Louis Blues Rejecting Offseason Trade Offers

The St. Louis Blues have made some significant changes to their roster over the past six months, but one player who won't be traded ahead of next season - Robert Thomas.

Thomas has seen his name all over trade rumors these past few months, and while some insiders thought it was a done deal to see St. Louis move their number-one center, it's been confirmed that Thomas and Blues' management have reconciled their differences, and both sides are focused on a long-term relationship.

Thomas, 27, is signed for $8.1 million AAV through the 2031 season. The Blues center scored 64 points in 64 games last season, and while it was many considered a down year, Thomas had to deal with everchanging line mates, and a team that was struggling in general.

Justin Faulk got moved, Jordan Kyrou was dealt this offseason, and the Blues are hopeful with some retooling, including dealing multiple first-rounders for Mason McTavish, that Thomas can be a huge part of their core moving forward.

The Boston Bruins were apparently the one team that went the hardest with their trade offer, but the Blues have since decided to pull Thomas off the market, and focus on making the Stanley Cup Playoffs next season.

One Blue who still could be dealt is goaltender Jordan Binnington. If you don't see a trade materialize before the season begins, don't be shocked to see the veteran netminder moved before the trade deadline.
