PuckPedia is reporting the younger Nylander's pending PTO.
He had a terrific year with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL, posting 24 goals and 53 points in 65 games, while also adding a sensational penalty shot marker in the Calder Cup Finals.
And after winning the championship, Nylander has been living it up this summer, celebrating with the Cup.🚨 THE BREAKAWAY GENES RUN IN THE FAMILY. ALEX NYLANDER TUCKS HOME THE PENALTY SHOT TO TIE THE GAME FOR THE MARLIES 🔥#Leafsforever pic.twitter.com/9yKF4HyVaL

Alex Nylander, 28, teamed up with big brother William, 30, in the Maple Leafs lineup for a total of five games in the 2024-25 season.
In all, he's played 126 games in the NHL, recording 25 goals and 49 points. His highlight was a 23-game run with the Columbus Blue Jackets at the end of the 2023-24 season, when he notched 11 goals.
He'll be battling for another crack at an NHL job with the Flames at training camp next month.
