Detroit Red Wings Reject Multiple Trade Offers

The Detroit Red Wings are putting their feet in the sand and standing still, holding firm on their trade demands for captain Dylan Larkin.

The trade talks have been ongoing since the end of last season, and frankly, they haven't been very close to a deal at all so far this summer. Despite not having a general manager, the Red Wings management team continues to have Larkin's name in trade dialogue, but have recently been telling teams they won't settle for less than a top-line, proven, NHL-talented forward. 

The Red Wings aren't willing to move Larkin for a future considerations package loaded with prospects and draft picks. The Minnesota Wild have made multiple trade offers but haven't been able to create a package the Red Wings are interested in. The Wild have offered a first-round pick, two mid-level prospects and forward Danila Yurov.

The Vegas Golden Knights are willing to include Tomas Hertl in the trade package, but the Red Wings haven't been interested to this point. Larkin would love to join Vegas, but it seems like a complete long shot at this point that he ends up in the desert.

One team to keep an eye on here is the Philadelphia Flyers. They have been very aggressive this offseason as they look for a true number one center, and even though some would argue that's not Larkin anyways, the Flyers have interest, and pieces to move, but need to convince Larkin to join. As of right now, Larkin hasn't approved Philly as a destination he'd accept a trade to.

If Minny has to move Quinn Hughes, could Larkin be in play? What about the Dallas Stars and Jason Robertson? As it stands right now, it feels like this messy situation is going to leak into training camp next month, as the Red Wings are holding firm on their trade demands.
