Devils Fans Getting Excited at Potential of Quinn Hughes Joining

Social Media Feature Preview
Quinn Hughes to the New Jersey Devils is the hottest rumor in hockey at the moment, and funny enough, it's nothing new. When Hughes was with the Vancouver Canucks, president Jim Rutherford went public with Hughes' desire to join the New Jersey Devils eventually, to suit up with his brothers Jack, and Luke.

Since this video surfaced, Hughes has since been traded to the Minnesota Wild for four pieces, and now, Wild GM Bill Guerin is in between a rock and a hard place. Hughes was eligible to sign a contract extension on July 1, and it's become obvious that Hughes is prioritizing different things right now, and Guerin is starting to see the forest through the trees.

Devils fans are starting to get very excited as the potential of having all three Hughes brothers suiting up together. Hughes has one year left on his contract and could sign in New Jersey next summer, but if Guerin can't work out an extension, it's in his best interest to move out Hughes and recoup some of the core pieces he dealt to Vancouver just months ago.
