The 6-foot-7 Stanley split last season between the Winnipeg Jets and Buffalo Sabres, and although he was excited to join a Stanley Cup Playoff run in Buffalo to end his season, he battled through a slew of injuries and unfortunately, had a hard time staying in the lineup.
Frank Seravalli: Re Logan Stanley: He's 25 million range; like 4 or 5 years - FAN Morning Show (7/1)

When this offseason hit, it sounded like Stanley wanted to take his young family back to Winnipeg to sign with the Jets, but when they pivoted to Mario Ferraro, it seemed to push Stanley out. Now, the former first round pick can't find a contract offer and has been skating with the OHL's Kitchener Rangers to keep in shape.
Stanley appeared in 59 games for the Jets last season, scoring a career high nine goals, and 21 points. He then was shipped to the Sabres, and dressed in 17 regular season games, chipping in with five assists, and also posted 19 penalty minutes in 8 playoff games.
Some insiders felt Stanley was in line for a three-year contract at $4.5 million AAV this summer, and since he didn't sign a contract once free agency opened and stayed patient, it's unfortunately cost him significant money.
Besides the Senators, don't be shocked to see the Anaheim Ducks sign Stanley to a one-year contract at $1 million, as they've locked in Cutter Gauthier, need help on the blueline, and have five contract slots open.
Sens Nation would love to add Stanley considering he pummeled Brady Tkachuk last season:
