Golden Knights Sign Braeden Bowman To Long-Term Deal

From undrafted prospect, to a $20.4 million deal. Forward Braeden Bowman has earned himself a six-year extension from the Vegas Golden Knights, with a $3.4 million AAV.

Bowman is going into Year 2 of his two-year entry-level deal; the new extension kicks in for the 2027-28 season. So, essentially, another seven years in Vegas for the 23-year-old. 

The deal consumes three UFA years and has no trade protection clauses.

The hard-working 6'1" forward recorded 26 points in 54 games with the Golden Knights this past season in just over 14 minutes average ice time per night. He added another 26 points in 20 games with the Henderson Silver Knights in the AHL.  His 14 points in eight games with Henderson in April earned him AHL Player of the Month honors.

It's a terrific story for a player who wasn't drafted in the NHL. He was signed by Vegas as an unrestricted free agent. His final year in junior hockey, at age 20, he recorded 37 goals and 71 points in 68 games with the Guelph Storm. He then spent a season in the AHL in 2024-25, and was called up this past season to the big club.
