The Vancouver Canucks are in the midst of a rebuild, and veteran winger Brock Boeser continues to be a prime trade candidate to be shipped out. Boeser's no stranger to trade rumors, but this season feels much different in Vancouver.
Nick Kypreos: Re Canucks: Brock Boeser may be in the most difficult predicament; He needs to find ways to get the puck in the back of the net, build his trade stock back up, and position himself to be a trade candidate between now and the deadline in March - Sportsnet (9/24)

Boeser, 29, is signed through the 2032 season at $7.2 million AAV. He owns a no-movement clause, but there's been plenty of speculation he's been provided trade offers in the past, and has yet to commit to a new team. Many around the Canucks feel Boeser's a good fit for the Boston Bruins or Montreal Canadiens.

Boeser's coming off a 22-goal, 48-point season for the Canucks last year, and will look to find the back of the net early, and often this year. A lot of his game is riding on Elias Pettersson finding his, and with a good start to run-and-gun with the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, we'll have to wait and see what kind of early-season success can happen in Vancouver.

For now, Boeser seems committed to the Canucks, but that doesn't mean if a trade isn't proposed to him from management that he won't consider it. Montreal and Boston seem like great fits, as both teams are trying to track down another top-six winger.
