Report: 6 Teams Interested In Capitals' Ivan Miroshnichenko
Pagnotta said the Capitals are shopping Miroshnichenko, and that the Flyers, Flames, and Kraken are believed to have interest, with a second Fourth Period report adding the Canucks and Kings.
Chicago is the only team described as having talked to Washington.
Why He’s Available
Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Saturday that the Capitals gave Miroshnichenko and his agent permission to talk to other teams because “he just can’t get in the lineup.”
Washington won’t put him on waivers because it knows he won’t clear, and Friedman said the Capitals want a legitimate return and won’t make a deal just to make a deal.

Friedman said on the 32 Thoughts podcast Monday that the return could compare to the Egor Chinakhov trade, in which Columbus received Danton Heinen and a second- and third-round pick from Pittsburgh.
Miroshnichenko was the 20th overall pick in 2022 and has played in just three games this season with one point, and he has 14 points in 55 career NHL games.
The Capitals have a surplus up front after adding Alex Tuch, Jordan Kyrou, and Boone Jenner over the summer, and they were carrying 14 forwards on their active roster.
The Six Teams
Chicago, Philadelphia, Calgary, Seattle, Vancouver, and Los Angeles are the clubs linked to him, and the Canucks are the latest to join the group.
Miroshnichenko is on a two-year, $1.85 million contract, a $925,000 cap hit that runs through 2027-28, which makes him cheap for any team that wants to take a chance.

The Flyers could appeal to him because of his connection with Matvei Michkov, though nothing has been reported on Philadelphia making an offer.
The 22-year-old was the 20th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
