The NHL's trade market is heating up, and the Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings are in the middle of it all. According to multiple reports, the Bruins have interest in Red Wings defenceman Simon Edvinsson, and there's also been talks about a mega-deal including Dylan Larkin.

The Bruins are loaded with young NHL talent and have a couple of top prospects who are pushing for regular minutes within Boston's lineup. The Red Wings were holding firm for immediate impact players, but have since softened their stance, as perhaps they're starting to realize they need to tear it down, and completely rebuild.

TSN's Pierre LeBrun reports that the Bruins are just one of 10 teams who have poked around on Edvinsson, as the restricted free-agent defenceman still sits without a contract, has made his way back to Sweden to train, and has seemingly turned his back on the franchise. Meanwhile, Detroit's interim GM Shawn Horcoff admitted he's prefer to re-sign Edvinsson instead of moving him.

Mason Lohrei has been on the block for the Bruins, and same goes for Matthew Poitras. James Hagens and Fraser Minten are untouchable and aren't expected to be included, only if Larkin is coming back the other way.

Larkin scored a goal and an assist in his season debut recently, and still is holding firm on wanting out of Motown, and is rumored to be high on joining the Bruins.
