Kris Versteeg Trade Rumors

Versteeg has struggled to fit in on the Maple Leafs top line in 2011. He seems to have no chemistry with Phil Kessel. There are many teams currently calling up Brian Burke to check on his availability. The Avalanche, Coyotes, Kings, Thrashers and Panthers have all shown interest in Versteeg.

A change of scenery would do Versteeg some good. I see a good fit with his ex-Back Hawks teammate, Dustin Byfuglien in Atlanta. Look for the Thrashers to offer up Niclas Bergfors and a prospect or pick for Versteeg. A trade will be done soon, Burke is weighing trade proposals from several NHL teams.
