Marc Savard Trade Rumors

The Boston Bruins are considering trading Marc Savard. The two-time All-Star has been a great playmaker for the Bruins in the past seasons. In the 2010-2011 season, the center has 2 goals and 4 assists in 15 games. Savard is not on pace to reach his season high point totals of 96 and 97.

GM Peter Chiarelli is looking to free up some cap space and Savard is the odd man out at the moment. The Bruins are set down the middle for the future with centers such as Patrice Bergeron and rookie Tyler Seguin. The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Edmonton Oilers are interested in Marc Savard. Both teams could use a  center like Savard. The deal is being delayed because NHL teams are waiting to see if Savard can recover fully from his post concussion syndrome and produce like an all-star.
