Joni Pitkanen Signs 3 Years With Hurricanes

It was a busy Tuesday as another top UFA, Joni Pitkanen was signed to a 3 year deal by the Carolina Hurricanes. The cap hit is $4.5M, a great term and dollar amount for the Hurricanes. He is solid in his own end and good offensively as well. Look for fellow Finn, Jussi Jokinen to follow suit. The Hurricanes plan on letting forwards Chad LaRose and Erik Cole walk at free agency.
