The latest NHL Trade Rumors for the 2011-2012 offseason are surrounding the Philadelphia Flyers and the Montreal Canadiens.

The Flyers have allegedly come to terms with goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov for a 7 year deal. The contract is worth $7.1 million per year. The Flyers have gone from undervaluing goalies to overvaluing goalies. They are going from 2 AHL goalies to one of the best NHL goalies and overpaying about 2 million per season. A seven year contract is risky business because what if Bryzgalov cannot take the Flyers far in the post season?

The Canadiens have come to terms with elite defenseman Andrei Markov for a 2 year deal. The contract is worth $5.75 million per year. Markov played 52 games in the last 2 seasons so the signing is risky. When healthy, Markov is in the top 10 defensemen in the NHL. Montreal fans are praying that he stays healthy for a whole season and the playoffs.
