The San Jose Sharks continue to trade with the Minnesota Wild for the 2011-2012 NHL offseason. Dany Heatley who got 64 points in 80 games was traded for Martin Havlat who got 62 points in 78 games last season. Besides the similar point production, both have played for the Ottawa Senators and both are 30 years old. The difference is in the cap hit where Heatley's is $8 million and Havlat's is $5 million.

I got the sense when the Sharks were beaten by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2011 NHL Playoffs that there was going to be significant changes. First, Devin Setoguchi and now Dany Heatley is traded to the Minnesota Wild.
