James Van Riemsdyk Trade Rumors

The Philadelphia Flyers are close to dealing away James Van Riemsdyk for the 2012 NHL season. The 22 year old left winger has a few seasons under his belt with the Flyers and he is not living up to his potential after being drafted 2nd overall.

The Flyers are looking to acquire a solid shutdown defenceman to fill the void left by concussed Chris Pronger. Sources say the Toronto Maple Leafs are offering Luke Schenn for James Van Riemsdyk.
