Tim Thomas Trade Rumors

Tim Thomas is not going to report to the Boston Bruins for the 2012-2013 NHL season. The goaltender has won 2 Vezinas, a Conn Smythe and a Stanley Cup. He has won all the hardware and his priorities have shifted.

Thomas has gone on record saying that he is not planning on playing out the last year of his contract that comes with a cap hit of $5 million. He wants to take off time from the NHL and spend more time with his family. 

Tim Thomas is getting up there in age. If he does not report to the Boston Bruins next season, you can expect his career to be over. "It would be hard for a 38-year old to come back after a year off," said GM Peter Chiarelli.
