Evander Kane of the Winnipeg Jets is the subject of rampant trade speculation for the 2013-14 NHL season. Head coach Claude Noel has healthy scratched Kane this season and it is rumored for some time that the two do not like one another.

Kane is signed until the 2017-18 season to a $5.25 million cap hit contract. The 22 year old left winger has 7 goals and 7 assists in 26 games played. He has yet to develop into a superstar that the organization had hoped when they drafted him 5 years ago. Having played his entire career with the same organization - Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets - Kane could use a change of scenery.

According to sources, "I think teams like Montreal and Philadelphia have already inquired about Evander Kane. It would take a lot to extract him from the Jets, but, if I was a betting man, this time next year, I don't think Evander is in Winnipeg." Look for the Winnipeg Jets to trade Evander Kane to the Montreal Canadiens for Max Pacioretty.
