Notes: Steven Stamkos was injured for over half of the last season with a broken tibia. It was a freak accident and he recovered fully in time for playoffs. He is optimistic about the chances of the Tampa Bay Lightning contending next season with the new acquisitions and development of youth. Speculation has been mounting that Stamkos may sign with the Toronto Maple Leafs once his current contract expires in 2016.
