Rumor: Andrew Ladd to Florida Panthers
The Winnipeg Jets are looking to move captain Andrew Ladd prior to the February 29, 2016 trade deadline.
Ladd's contract with a cap hit of $4.4 million is about to expire making him an unrestricted free agent. He had a career high of 62 points last season, and has accumulated 27 points in 48 games this season. Ladd doesn't think he is going to re-signed in Winnipeg:
If you ask both sides, we would have both said we'd have something done by now.
Florida Panthers GM Dave Tallon acquired Ladd previously when Tallon was a member of the Chicago Blackhawks. Tallon is likely to trade for Ladd because he believes a big physical winger with skill will make his team a serious threat.
