The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed restricted free agent Conor Sheary to a three-year contract with a $3M cap hit per season.

Sheary had a breakout 2016-17 regular season, where he scored 23 goals and 53 points in 61 games, with a plus-24 rating. In the playoffs, he struggled and was healthy scratched in the Eastern Conference final.

This is a bargain price for a 25-year-old talented left winger, who had good chemistry playing on a line with Sidney Crosby during the regular season.
