Reporters Believe Max Pacioretty Will Be Traded Today

Yesterday, we reported on a rumour that would send Ryan O'Reilly to the Montreal Canadiens for Max Pacioretty or the 3rd overall pick. Today, we are hearing more chatter about Pacioretty being traded, but not to Buffalo for O'Reilly.
Multiple sources believe Pacioretty will not be a member of the Canadiens at the end of today. Bob McKenzie was quoted as saying "It's more likely than not that he gets traded today."

Martin McGuire believes Pacioretty will be traded today as well, specifically to the Los Angeles Kings. It is possible Montreal is looking to acquire either centre prospect Gabriel Vilardi, or defence-man Jake Muzzin (depending on whether or not the Canadiens are going into a full rebuild).

Dany Dube also believes Pacioretty will be traded, and that Los Angeles is the most likely destination. However he took it one step further and claims Pacioretty's agent has been in contact with the GM of the Kings on a possible contract extension if he is sent there. (This was quickly denied by Pacioretty's agent, so take that with a grain of salt).
