Prospect Profile: Canadien's Newest Prospect Nick Suzuki

Brought over from Vegas in the Max Pacioretty trade, the Canadien's newest top-tier prospect looks to make a splash with his new team.

Nick Suzuki of the OHL's Owen Sound Attack, was drafted 13th overall in the 2017 draft by the Vegas Golden Knights. The now 19-year-old center had an impressive camp with Vegas before being sent back to his respective junior team before the 2017-2018 season began. Suzuki's 2017 campaign saw him net 96 points in just 62 games. His 2018 season saw him score 100 points during the 2018 season for Owen Sound.

The 5'11" 183 pound right shot center was charted as an elite prospect with high potential in the 2017 draft class. The winner and loser of the Pacioretty trade can be argued for now. However, the long-term winner will be determined by the success of this highly rated prospect in the years to come. Suzuki could be the franchise center that the Canadiens need within the next few years.
