Breaking: NHL player charged in cocaine bust

According to numerous Finnish reports, Philadelphia Flyers' Jori Lehtera will be charged for his involvement in a massive cocaine smuggling plan where 22 people, including Lehtera, were arrested in his native homeland of Finland.

Lehtera was arrested this past offseason for allegedly facilitating drug trades back home in Finland. He maintained his innocence and prosecutors weren't sure if charges would be laid on the forward until now.

Finnish reported Janne Virtanen broke the news on Twitter.

Nothing has been said on whether Lehtera will be extradited to Finland for the court case or what will happen to his NHL career, but one way or another, he will not be available for the Flyers. Given the possibility, the Flyers could end up cancelling Lehtera's contract altogether resulting them getting rid of a guy with a $4.7 million salary.
