Rumor: Jonathan Quick to Philadelphia Flyers

The Los Angeles Kings and Philadelphia Flyers could be looking to pull off a big trade in the new year.
Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos recently reported that the Flyers and Kings have been speaking about possibly trading for Jonathan Quick.

The Flyers could use some help in net, with 20-year old Carter Hart currently serving as their starter, a player that many assume needs another year or two in the AHL to develop.

The Kings would be parting ways with a key piece of the two Stanley cup runs in 2012 and 2014. Quick has spent 12 years with the Kings, playing in 570 games for the team.

Quick could help bridge the gap for Carter Hart and help him develop properly, but a combination of age (32 years old), his long contract (5 years, 5.8 million dollars), and injury history, Quick may end up on injured reserve fairly regularly during his time with the Flyers; which would force Hart back into the NHL before he's ready.
