Report: Oilers place big pieces on trade block

According to TSN analyst and Edmonton Oilers insider Ryan Rishaug, the Edmonton Oilers have placed some big names on the trade block so they can acquire some help upfront.

According to Ryan Rishaug, the Oilers have placed a first round pick, a goaltender, and maybe a young developing forward. The Oilers are looking for some forwards to help them with their second and third lines. Scouts and staff are deployed everywhere according to reports.

With their cap situation, the Edmonton Oilers may have difficulty finding a decent player to fill their needs with almost all of their cap space used.

Online speculation states that the "young developing forward" is in fact Jesse Puljujarvi whom Edmonton GM Peter Chiarelli drafted 4th overall in the 2016 Entry Draft. In 127 NHL games, Puljujarvi has only 35 points.

TSN's Darren Dreger also put in his two cents by talking about goaltender Cam Talbot.
Amid the Oilers trade speculation a reminder Cam Talbot has a modified no trade clause. He submitted the list of 10 teams he would go to last May, Dreger stated on Twitter.
With all the talent the Edmonton Oilers possess this season, they are doing far below what many expected. If the Oilers don't make the Stanley Cup Playoffs this season, I would think that Chiarelli will be put under pressure to make it or he will be most likely fired.

Who do you think the Oilers should trade to acquire to fill their needs?
