NHL Trade Rumors: Matt Duchene to Columbus Blue Jackets
A blockbuster trade is being finalized between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Ottawa Senators. The Blue Jackets are offering Vitaly Abramov, Jonathan Davidsson, a 1st round pick in 2019, and another conditional 1st round pick in 2020, in return for Senators, Matt Duchene and Julius Bergman. The conditional 1st round pick is if Duchene signs with the Jackets. The 1st round pick in 2019 is top 3 protected.

The Blue Jackets are taking a risk trading for a pending free agent, however, Duchene may sign an extension with Columbus. The Blue Jackets are going to be busy the next few days as the NHL Trade Deadline approaches. The Jackets are also looking to trade pending free agents Artemi Panarin and Sergei Bobrovsky.
