Report: Canucks shopping Swedish forward

According to TSN's Matthew Sekeres, the Vancouver Canucks are shopping former 2nd-round pick, Jonathan Dahlen after he was acquired for Alex Burrow two years ago.

After having a poor pre-season with the Canucks this year, which got him demoted to the AHL for his first pro season in North America. Being productive as of late with the Canucks' affiliate the Utica Comets, this is the first time Dahlen has been mentioned in rumours since Vancouver acquired him in 2017.

According to Sekeres, Vancouver wants to acquire something if Dahlen is going to be a bust of the likes of Hunter Shinkaruk and would like to acquire something better than just a Markus Granlund. But could be reluctant due to the fact if he is a late bloomer and could turn into a Top-6 forward with any organization.

So far this season, Dahlen has 29 points in 50 games with the Utica Comets and 7 points in the last 7 games.
