Detroit legend Ted Lindsay passes away at age 93

Detroit Red Wings legend Ted Lindsay passed away overnight while in hospice care at the age of 93 in Oakland township, Michigan.

Throughout his career, Lindsay spent most of his career in Detroit and led them to four Stanley Cup championships. He also helped organize the creation of what we know now as the National Hockey League Players Association which led to him being dealt to the Chicago Blackhawks in the late 50's.
Actually, we don't have many grievances. We just felt we should have an organization of this kind, Lindsay responded to why he helped the creation of the NHLPA.
In 1068 games within the NHL, Lindsay scored 379 goals, 472 assists for a total of 851 points.
