NHL Trade Rumor: Artem Anisimov has been made available by the Blackhawks

For the Chicago Blackhawks the 2018/2019 season was tremendously disappointing. They made a coaching change and moved on from the Joel Quenneville era, and while Patty Kane and Jonathan Toews aren't going anywhere, Artem Anisimov could be.
When Anisimov signed with the Blackhawks in 2015 he was dubbed to be the 2nd-line Center of the future. 4 seasons and having yet to reach 50 points, Anisimov isn't getting it done. Add in one of the newest Blackhawks, Dylan Strome who has pushed Anisimov down the depth chart. Lastly, the details of Anisimov's contract now favour the Blackhawks management and according to Tribune Insiders the team is working the phones to move him at the Draft.

The Russian center no longer has any protection when it comes to trades. Much easier to agree on a deal when you take out the player's acceptance of the destination. The Blackhawks need help on their back end so perhaps names like Marc Staal, Jack Johnson, and Marco Scandella will surface. No word yet but what we do know is Anisimov's available.
