NHL Trade Rumor: The Maple Leafs are receiving a ton of calls on William Nylander

The Toronto Maple Leafs continue to work the negotiation tables with Mitch Marner and his agent Darren Ferris and word is from sources close to the Maple Leafs, while this is going on, GM's around the league are calling about the availability of William Nylander.

Nylander who was behind the eight-ball this season missing the first few months with his contract dispute never really found his game until the World Championships. Nylander set records for Sweden over the past few weeks and looked as dominant as ever. He will find himself a hot topic of discussion as we get closer to the draft and free agency.

From all accounts, Maple Leafs GM, Kyle Dubas has made it clear they didn't go to battle to sign him to then flip him in their first offseason, but until their cap situation gets managed this offseason, teams are lining up to see what it would take to get the Swede out of the 6. If Patrick Marleau doesn't accept a trade back to the west coast, the Maple Leafs may have no choice but to move Nylander.

Names like Noah Hanifin, Matthew Dumba, Cam Fowler, and Ryan Ellis are all on the Maple Leafs' wish list. Let's see what chatter heats up as we get ready to enjoy the Stanley Cup Finals.
