Edmonton Oilers add to their depth at centre with free agent move

The Edmonton Oilers are Ken Holland's team and today he signed a familiar face. The team has announced they have signed free agent Riley Sheahan to a one year deal.

The 21st overall pick in 2010 by the Red Wings, has played 447 career games recording 58 goals, 91 assists for 149 points.

Sheahan spent last season with the Florida Panthers where he only managed to play 33 games. His best year came in 2014-15 where he recorded 36 points for the Detroit Red Wings. Although he isn't flashy, Sheahan will provide the Oilers with a big body who can win faceoffs, kill penalties, and help shut down opposing forwards.

Good move for the Oil? Or should they be focusing more on scoring wingers to help the top 6?
