The Newfoundland Growlers have released a must-have piece of Leafs Throwback Memorabilia

Just in time for Maple Leafs Training camp in St.John's, the Newfoundland Growlers have released the ultimate piece of throw back memorabilia!

As most die hards know, the St. John's Maple Leafs (Locally dubbed "The Baby Leafs"), AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, played at Memorial Stadium & Mile One Stadium from 1991 - 2005 when the team was moved back to Toronto and renamed the Toronto Marlies.

Newfoundland has had a long standing love affair with the Leafs thanks, in part, to this affiliation. Last year however, this old flame was rekindled in a big way when ECHL expansion team, The Newfoundland Growlers announced their affiliation with the Toronto big club.

Shortly after, along with the slip of the tongue by Mike Babcock, Leafs 2019 Training camp was announced to be held in St.John's.

The Growlers, of course, went on to become ECHL Champions in their inaugural season bringing home the Kelly Cup to the Cheers of Thousands of Fans.

In paying homage to past greats to pass through St.John's such as the likes of Felix Potvin, Yanic Perreault, Carlo Colaiacovo, Nathan Dempsey, Kyle Wellwood, Coach's Mark Crawford, Joel Quenneville & Mark Hunter, Local Legends Todd Gillingham & Harold Druken, The Growlers have re-released The St.John's Maple Leafs Jersey.

I can't even imagine the ruckus which would erupt below the Bob Cole Media Centre at Mile One if current Leafs Players took warm ups in this jersey at the preseason Game scheduled for Sept 17th 2019.

My jersey is on order! What about yours?
