BREAKING: Joe Thornton re-signs with the San Jose Sharks

Joe Thornton will return for his 22nd NHL season after he re-signed with the San Jose Sharks for another year.

According to the Athletic's Kevin Kurtz, the deal is a one-year, $2 million contract.

Last season. Thornton scored 51 points potting in 16 goals and aiding 35 times.
