BREAKING: Alex DeBrincat signs 3-year extension with Chicago

The Chicago Blackhawks announced Thursday morning via Twitter that they have signed 40-goal scorer Alex DeBrincat to a 3-year deal with an AAV of $6.4 million.

DeBrincat, the 39th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, set career highs in goals (41), assists (35), and points (76) in 2018-19.

The 5'7" winger was due to become a Restricted Free Agent at the end of the season, so Chicago is making sure they lock their star down early in the season.

Definitely a good deal for a 40+ goal RFA Sniper!
