Rumor: New Jersey and Calgary in talks about Taylor Hall

The New Jersey Devils made several changes in the offseason in hopes of finding the right mix of young guys and veterans to make a leap forward, instead, it appears they have taken two steps back. Pending free agent Taylor Hall, appears all but out, and teams are lining up to swoop him up for a playoff run.

The Devils have received multiple calls over the past few weeks and according to sources in contact with Devils management, the team received a call recently from the Calgary Flames, regarding a trade for Taylor Hall.

The deal from Calgary was centred around forward Dillon Dube, RHD Rasmus Andersson, and a first round pick. The Devils are trying to stay in the eastern conference race at the moment, so don't expect them to move Hall until their socks are blown off.

Doesn't sound like this deal from the Flames is doing the trick quite yet.
